On the Lechtal High Trail to the Großbergspitze

After a restful night with pleasant company at the Württemberger Haus and a promising sunrise, I start the ascent through the Obermedriol to the Großbergspitze (2,635 m) in the morning freshness, to head from there over the ridge to the Großbergkopf (2,612 m) and Großbergjoch, then crossing scree slopes to the Seescharte (2,599 m) and on to the Memminger Hütte.
The path from the hut first crosses grassy slopes and eventually becomes steeper, leading over scree to a short section of rock secured by cables, before reaching flatter terrain again and finally the ascent to the northern ridge of the Großbergspitze (on the left in the picture). Looking back, I can see the Württemberger Haus and the Gebäudejoch with the crossing to the Steinseehütte (on the right edge of the picture). To the west, the Patrol Valley opens up, dominated by the steep Patrolscharte and the summit structure of the Parseierspitze (3,036 m), the only peak in the Lechtal Alps over 3,000 m. I remain alone on my path for a long time; only shortly before the Seescharte do I encounter larger groups of hikers facing the long descent on the E5 long-distance trail to Zams.
