The freshwater springs in the Baia degli Infreschi

Beneath a rock grotto in Baia degli Infreschi bay, underground freshwater springs create a fascinating natural spectacle; rising cold water emerges from the ground, mixing with the salty seawater and forming colourful streaks in the emerald green water. As a swimmer, you can feel not only the temperature difference but also the varying buoyancy, depending on the water’s salt concentration. The entire coastline here is protected as a nature park due to its unique, unspoiled natural beauty. The coast and the bay are therefore a popular destination for sailors, who use the natural harbour as a safe and wonderfully beautiful anchorage. In addition, there are numerous day-trippers on excursion boats from Marina di Camerota or Scario, or hikers who have walked the varied hiking trail from Marina di Camerota via Pozallo Beach and Cala Bianca.
