The Mürtschenstock above Lake Walen

Directly opposite the Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald, the Mürtschenstock rises 2,441 m high on the southern shore of Lake Walen. To enjoy this glowing but frosty sunrise, I took the easy way out and just got out of bed without leaving the cosy, warm room. However, a short distance from the house, the entire panorama of the Glarus Alps and Lake Walen opens up.
