Evening atmosphere at Cap Dramont

At Cap Dramont on the edge of the Estérel Nature Park, you can see a wide stretch of the Côte d’Azur, from the Gulf of Fréjus across to St. Tropez. Numerous (chilling) legends surround the tower and its possible builder on the offshore Île d’Or. Dramont beach in the foreground was the scene of the Allied landings during the Second World War. The scenic cape also lies on the long coastal hiking trail which, particularly from St. Raphael heading east, runs along the Estérel coast past many small bays, beaches and impressive rock formations.
