The Calore Gorge is a tranquil and refreshing oasis, accessible from any direction only via a long drive along narrow, winding, and often bumpy roads through extensive chestnut and oak forests. The River Calore originates from the roof of Cilento on the Monte Cervati Massif and, on its journey to the Sele Plain and the sea, has carved several deep gorges into the karst uplands.
