When does Berlin Brandenburg Airport open?

I recently visited Berlin again. The following week, the media reported that the BER Berlin Brandenburg “Willy Brandt” Airport was scheduled to open in 2020 – we’ve been shaking our heads at the reliability of such statements ever since construction began. This reminded me of my visit to the airport construction site in 2012. Back then, I was able to see the still unused, empty apron and, just four months before the then-planned opening, the supposedly finished terminals and car parks.
