Spring’s Arrival in Munich

Munich Town Hall at Marienplatz, Bavaria, Germany

Just in time for the start of calendar spring, Munich is bathed in sunshine. The city is already filled with many holidaymakers on the weekend before Holy Week. As always, many travellers head to Marienplatz around midday to admire the Glockenspiel.

It’s wonderful to enjoy the warming sun and watch the hustle and bustle on the streets from the stone bench at the Residenz on Max-Joseph-Platz – a pleasure that was truly missed during the facade renovation work from 2008 to 2013. From the Olympic Tower, a magnificent panorama of the Alps could surely be admired again on this day.
