Happy New Year 2016

I wish all readers a happy New Year 2016.

This year, greetings come from the Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald in Amden, Switzerland, which I visit with friends every winter. Unfortunately, there was no snow in this exceptionally warm year (at an altitude of 1,361 m); a day of skiing in the nearby Flumserberg ski resort on old snow, artificial snow and ice was better than expected, but not exactly a pleasure. Instead of ski tours, we went for hikes. The weather, with clear moonlit nights over the Glarus Alps without frost and cloudless, sunny days, was perfect for a relaxed holiday.
