Picturesque Old Town of Wasserburg

Wasserburg am Inn boasts an almost perfectly preserved medieval Old Town with narrow alleys, fortified towers and castle buildings, impressive churches and historic buildings like the Town Hall, as well as a unique row of houses along the Inn river. Many houses are lovingly restored and often host inviting cafés or shops – the town now thrives on tourism, whereas it once prospered from the salt trade.
