Bizarre rock formations at Capo Testa

In the far north of Sardinia, Capo Testa is a scenic highlight of the island. Bizarre granite rocks form the backbone of the peninsula, interspersed with inviting bathing coves of crystal-clear water. The views stretch across the Gallura coast to Corsica, with the luminous white cliffs of Bonifacio – the strait between Sardinia and Corsica is only 15 km wide here. The road from nearby Santa Teresa ends at a small car park and turning area with the usual mobile cafeteria; usually, the roadside is parked up for the last few hundred metres. Narrow paths criss-cross the peninsula, which can also be explored on an impressive circular walk.
