A Stop at Locanda San Vigilio

Between Torri del Benaco and Garda, on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, lies the Punta San Vigilio peninsula, home to the 16th-century Palazzo “Villa Brenzone”. Tucked away directly on the southern shore, with its own small harbour basin, is the Locanda San Vigilio. Here, under the shade of grapevines, we enjoyed delicious ice cream and watched guests arrive and depart in their stylish boats against the stunning panoramic backdrop of Lake Garda.
On the northern side of the peninsula, there’s also an inviting small swimming beach, which is why the car park at the peninsula’s entrance often fills up early. This is another reason why many guests arrive by boat. If you wish to stay longer, you can book a room in the guesthouse and imagine yourself among the notable guests and historical figures who have stayed here.
