Evening on Marina di Campo Beach

Marina di Campo is located in the south of Elba in a large bay with a wonderful sandy beach. Because of this, the town was discovered early on by travellers and holidaymakers, and offers an excellent infrastructure alongside the impressive landscape. The shallow beach is perfectly suited for families with small children, while for hikers or mountain bikers, it serves as a central base for a variety of tours. In the west of the bay lies the picturesque town centre of Marina di Campo, which stretches eastwards along the beach to where several campsites and holiday apartments are located at the end of the sands. Right by the water, you can combine wonderful views with a meal in one of the restaurants. Behind the coast, a fertile plain stretches northwards and is framed by the central massif of Monte Capanne with the rocky peaks of the “Le Calanche” (905 m) foothills – where, by the way, an appealing mountain tour leads across the rocky ridge.
