The fishing village of Kyrkesund is located on the narrow sound between the islands of Härön and Tjörn. The now clear, cool morning light made the colourful facades of the houses glow even more intensely. In Björholmen, we had finally arrived in the archipelago of the west coast. Here, on the north-west coast of the island of Tjörn, we found a perfect blend of Scandinavian nature and culture, and atmospheric moments in a magnificent landscape. Read more
We had left Hanö Bay on the south-east coast of Sweden in the morning and had since passed Gothenburg heading north. At Stenungsund, we left the mainland and drove onto the island of Tjörn. Three mighty bridges make the journey easy. Their clearance height of over 40 metres gave us a first wide view of the fjords, sounds and islands of the archipelago landscape on the Swedish west coast as a welcome. Read more
