Merry Christmas!

I wish all readers, friends, globetrotters and travellers a Merry Christmas and an eventful, happy and above all healthy New Year 2020! Our dog Cody has already smartened himself up for today’s gift-giving on Christmas Eve and put on his Christmas jumper. Christmas jumpers have become a bit of a tradition, at the latest since the film Bridget Jones. Who can offer a better Christmas jumper?

Winter hasn’t brought any snow to the lowlands again this year, but there’s already a good base in the mountains for the first ski tour or downhill run. Even without snow, it’s worth visiting one of the beautiful winter or Christmas markets in Bavaria instead – such as the one in Rosenheim. Some of the markets are also open until after the Christmas holidays. The winter market at Munich Airport is particularly well-sheltered from the weather, located on the large covered open space at the Munich Airport Centre, where the ice rink attracts both ice skaters and Bavarian curlers.
