On the road – a road trip picture book

With his novel “On the Road”, about journeys across the USA and to Mexico in the late 1940s, Jack Kerouac wrote an early masterpiece on motoring and travel. Countless novels and road movies followed. I also spend a lot of time on the road in the car, often alone, just as many of us spend a large part of our lives travelling in vehicles. Alongside this, I experience a wide range of moods, shaped by the different times of day and seasons, as well as the places and landscapes I pass through. I try to capture these moments photographically and have gathered some of these images into a gallery.
