Cap Ferrat and the Bay of Villefranche

On the way back from exploring the town of Menton, I drive west along the small coastal roads and Corniches, which are particularly famous above Monaco, along the Cote d’Azur. This led me to a viewpoint overlooking Cap Ferrat with its luxurious villas – among which the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild can be visited – and Villefranche-sur-Mer. The many gardens, exotic plants, sailing boats and cruise ships create an exotic, almost Caribbean flair. The villas and palaces bear witness to the spirit of the Belle Époque.
