Farewell from Athens

In the evening, after a day trip to the island of Aegina, it was time to say goodbye, both to our friends and to the city of Athens. And where better to do that than in Athens’ nightlife? As we all had our accommodation in Monastiraki, we opted for a nearby bar.

Monastiraki is a lively area with many rooftop bars and restaurants offering spectacular views of the Acropolis. Without a reservation, such a venue was impossible to get for a large group, but we had already thoroughly enjoyed the view over the past few days. As it was still relatively early in the evening, we found plenty of space at the long counter of the Odori bar. Given our onward journey to Santorini the next morning, we unfortunately had to leave the party this time before the nightlife truly began.
