New Year 2018 – big and small fireworks

Happy New Year 2019! Many people have traditionally welcomed the new year with colourful fireworks again: on the one hand on a small scale, like the man with a sparkler in the window of his flat, and on the other hand on a large scale with rockets and firecrackers. As every year, the media points out that the money for this colourful and loud tradition could be better used for people in need. New in 2018 is the discussion about the health aspects caused by the – short-term – fine dust pollution. This is likely a result of the discussion about air pollutants caused by car traffic in urban areas. Nevertheless, everyone should celebrate the new year as they please. With best wishes for a peaceful year, health, success and happy moments.
