Positano’s Stacked Houses

On the Amalfi Coast, lushly green with lemon groves, vineyards, or macchia, the houses of Positano nestle against the mountains that rise majestically from the sea. Like cubes, the buildings seem to cling to the rocks – luminous pastel splashes amidst the rich green of the slopes, embraced by the deep blue of the sky and sea.

Colourful fishing boats on the dark sandy beach in the town centre complete the vibrant picture of Positano on the Amalfi Coast. Despite all the summer hustle and bustle, a trip along the coast from Naples, past Vesuvius, across the Sorrento Peninsula, Amalfi, and on to Salerno is still uniquely beautiful and definitely recommended.
