At the Marché Couvert in Antibes

Market days are always an event in foreign countries; I see local and regional produce, food, and dishes – they often offer an insight into everyday life and, with their exotic offerings, challenge my own views or (eating) habits. At the market in Antibes, which takes place daily at the covered Marché Couvert in front of the Picasso Museum, I found a high-quality selection of Mediterranean delicacies and specialities from France, such as those from the Côte d’Azur: products made from olives, tomatoes, fish, etc. – all at reasonable, local prices. More pictures from the Côte d’Azur and France can be seen in the ‘France’ gallery.
