During my stay in Vienna, I noticed that on this first sunny day after a rainy cold front, window cleaners suddenly appeared everywhere. I observed them in the morning on the modern high-rises around the main station, later on the historic facades of the Upper Belvedere, and finally on many shops and cafés in the city centre. These are people who bring more sparkle and clarity to the boundary between the indoor and outdoor worlds, restoring light to spaces. Read more
