In 1995, I travelled to Cape Verde. The following year, I was able to meet the legendary world star Cesária Évora and the band, including musicians such as Bau (Rufino Almeida), Fernando Andrade, José Paris, Luiz Ramos and Nereu Dos Santos, backstage after their Zeltival concert in Karlsruhe.
